NEITHERS(네이더스)의 디렉터 원덕현은 브랜드를 준비하기까지 독학으로 브랜드를 만들기 위한 상품 디자인, 그래픽 디자인, 웹 코딩, 물류, 생산, CS, 영업 등의 모든 것을 스스로 독학으로 배우면서 본인의 처지가 무언가 뚜렷한 장점이라고 말하기 어려운 상황 속에서 포유류지만 바다에 살고 있고 포유류들에게는 포유류로 인정받지 못하고 어류들에게는 어류로 인정받지 못하지만, 바다를 대표하는 모습을 보며 자신의 처지와 비슷하다고 느껴 범고래를 심벌로 사용하게 되었습니다. 

 

그 심벌로 인해서 많은 사람들에게 사랑을 받게 된 상황에서 원덕현 디렉터는 범고래로부터 받은 희망, 용기 그리고 많은 사람들로부터 사랑에 대한 보답을 어떻게 할지 고민하던 중 고래를 보호하기 위해서 무엇을 할 수 있을지에 대한 고민 끝에 캠페인 영상을 제작하게 되었습니다. 그뿐만 아니라, 실제로 이도 저도 아닌 애매한 처지 속에서 본인의 장래를 고민하는 사람들의 실제 심정과 본인의 이야기를 담고 영상의 취지를 함께 설명하여 누군가에게 또 다른 희망과 기회가 주어졌으면 하는 바람으로 기획 및 제작하게 되었습니다.
