2세대 맥북 케이스 시리즈는 기존 1세대 제품에서 맥북 자체 디스플레이 사양 변화에 따른 모델명 변경 및 내부 수납 구성에 따른 사이즈 변경으로 차이를 두었습니다.
1세대 맥북 케이스는 13인치와 15인치 시리즈로 출시되었다면, 2세대 맥북 케이스는 13인치 그리고 16인치 시리즈로 출시됩니다. 또한 제품의 가로, 세로 규격은 기존 1세대 모델과 동일하게 유지하되 깊이 규격을 늘려 수납력을 보완하였습니다. 특히 기존 1세대 모델에 마우스와 어댑터 등 소지품을 함께 보관할 경우 랩톱 겉면에 스크래치가 발생할 수 있었던 홀더의 기능적 이슈를 외부 충격 및 스크래치로부터 차단하는 네오프렌 원단의 덮개로 변경, 적용하여 랩톱을 더욱 안전하게 보관할 수 있습니다.
이외에도 맥북의 전체적인 사양 변화에 맞춘 내부 수납 구성을 변경하여 사용자 경험 측면에서 편의성을 더할 수 있도록 성능 및 디테일 등을 개선하였습니다.
